This years event celebrates 25 years of Lupe Pintos in Scotland and the launch of our third cookbook THE MEXICAN WRESTLERS COOKBOOK.
All Venues have been asked to take influence from the book and it is hoped that by doing so Cook off ticket holders will get a taste of what the book offers.
To all our Chili loving customers we recommend picking up a copy this will not only enhance your Mexican cooking skills but will also help to judge the chili's on offer at this years competition.
We all love the chili cookoff and we at Lupe Pintos regard the event as a celebration of what we do 361 day's a year, all the participating Venues appreciate your custom and we all invite you to our part of the City and to showcase a great wee collection of business's.
Many people pick one end of the trail and work their way round the Venues to finish near Lupe Pintos this means that the Venues closer to our shop are mad busy at the end but empty at the beginning. If you start at a close by Venue you generally get a less busy more comfortable experience or start in the middle even better. The furthest away Venue is only a 10 minute walk from the shop. If a Venue is mad busy on arrival break the pattern and double back , the crowd moves on. Get your ticket back to Lupe Pintos by 5.30 We post results on both our facebook sites at 6.00. Have a fun day drink some beer and enjoy some chili.

One day I was doing a shift in the Glasgow shop, "do you realize I have come all the way from the South side to shop here" said a customer. "you would think it was the wild west the way your talking" said a good regular from Oban. Eureka! Wild West/ Chilli cook-off. The Glasgow shop is surrounded by great little gourmet bars trying hard to entice customers across the kelvin bridge and up Great Western road to an Area not exactly off the beaten track and yet often ignored by many Glasgow folk.
